Guck Augen

 video installation, 2013

Multiplied faces and diverse sounds compose a collective portrait, in which the contours are slowly fading and transforming into fragments of light and spots of color.

You are looking through an ocular dispositive (guckaugen) made from tiny pieces of glass; the light penetrates and the portrait starts to deconstruct in multiple eyes, mouths, blinks and smiles. The image has echo, and a simple gesture becomes choreographic. The persons are in synchronicity with themselves.

Many times, the space invades one’s face; also one’s face invades the space….they merge. The sounds are blending.

Who is watching who?
