This project focuses on the idea that objects can be perceived as recollection of past events. The object carries the imprint of the person who used it and cannot exist outside a subject that perceives it and understands it as an object, with its specific aspect and utilization.

Using Jacques Prévert’s poem “Déjeuner du matin” (Breakfast) as a source of inspiration, I gathered all the objects mentioned in his writing and made up a set for the video. In the video, the objects remain still, without any human intervention, having the nature as the only witness of time passing. The cup of coffee, the ashtray, the tea spoon, the sugar bowl and the table cloth form a still life - expression of past events, past gestures and feelings.
