The idea of the project has its roots in the One day on Earth  project (http://www.onedayonearth.org/ ) which encouraged people from all over the world to document this day: 12.12.12; the purpose was to gather all the filmed material and to create a final all-embracing documentary.

 

While thinking about the One day on Earth initiative a few questions crossed my mind: what if we all act like puppets on a string, what if we are all programmed to act in some way - programmed by the society, by our culture & education or even by some more powerful universal power. How many people act in the same way at the same time?

 

The idea of inserting the screenplay within the play, as subtitles, represents a way for transposing the questions raised above into the video. In this project I also played witgh concepts like anticipation, programmed actions and self observation.
